Join the ultimate multiplayer gaming experience this Easter at the National Videogame Museum!

Get ready to team up, take on challenges, and dive into gaming nostalgia as the National Videogame Museum (NVM) presents Multiplayer Madness—a thrilling celebration of all things multiplayer!

This Easter, families, friends and gaming enthusiasts are invited to come together for action-packed battles, exciting co-op adventures and unforgettable gaming moments.

Running from 29 March to 13 April and 17-21 April, Multiplayer Madness offers visitors the chance to explore a wide selection of beloved multiplayer titles, from competitive classics to modern party favourites. Whether you’re testing your reflexes in Tekken 2 (1995), speeding through tracks in Mario Kart Wii (2008), or rocking out with LEGO Rock Band (2009), there’s something for gamers of all ages and skill levels to enjoy.

Adding to the excitement, NVM is proud to showcase a unique multiplayer prototype version of Gang Beasts, Sheffield’s very own hilarious party brawler. Thanks to a special collaboration with local developers Boneloaf, players can experience the game like never before—settling in on comfy bean bags and battling it out in chaotic, laugh-out-loud matches filled with wobbly physics and over-the-top action.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Multiplayer Madness isn’t just about gaming—it’s about coming together. Visitors can embark on an interactive gallery trail, collect stamps by teaming up with fellow players and even snap a retro-style keepsake using a Game Boy Camera and Printer.

John O’Shea, Creative Director & Co-CEO of NVM, shared his excitement about the event:

“We want everyone to have fun together at the Museum this Easter, so we’re presenting a new range of great games for groups to play. We’re hoping young people can teach older generations some new skills, and maybe the kids can learn something from the Old School?”

So, are you ready to press start on an unforgettable Easter holiday? Grab your friends, rally your family, and head to the National Videogame Museum for Multiplayer Madness—where gaming is always better together!
