World of Superheroes is a Mecca for comic book lovers and has 1000s available at any one time, as well as graphic novels, posters, artwork, memorabilia and more.

You’ll find it all housed in a huge warehouse space in Holbrook, in the south of Sheffield close to Crystal Peaks and the tram network.

A recent upgrade has made the showroom more customer-friendly, making it even easier to browse their colossal stock – which contains over 300,000 comic books at the last count.

New display racks showcase some of the more high-value and featured comics whilst lines of alphabetised boxes house everything from Marvel and DC to Star Wars and 2000AD.

You can see many of these collections on their eBayLIVE platform as well as whatNOT, the comic buyers favourite live stream shopping platform (see details below).

“Live stream shopping is such a fantastic way to see the comics you’re interested in, ask any questions and request the issues you want,” said owner Steve Eyre. “It can save endless scrolling and feel like you trust your sellers and get to know the guys here at World of Superheroes.”

Steve has been a lifelong collector of comic books but decided to turn his hobby into a business in 2020. Working with his children Alex and Holly, Steve has been buying up collections and then selling them on either as one-off pieces or in bundles via World of Superheroes’ online shop or through their dedicated eBay site. Such is the breadth of their collection and reputation, World of Superheroes deliver all over the world.

If you have a comic collection in your dusty attic, your hopefully not too damp cellar or in a box in your garage, you could be a big step closer to paying off your mortgage.

Over the last few years World of Superheroes has uncovered hundreds of comic books like these and paid out thousands of pounds to people who didn’t realise they were sitting on a paper fortune.
