There comes a time of year when we seem to be awash with festivals. Whether it’s food, music, beer or books, there seems to be something happening most weekends. 

And that’s a good thing. 

Festivals are fantastic celebratory events and we have plenty coming up over the follow-ing months, many of which we’ve listed below. Of course you can add Tramlines to that list and we’ve only just had the Crossed Wires podcast festival take over the city centre making Sheffield a real hub. 

Hopefully there’s something for everyone.

Sheffield Festival of Reggae
15 August / Network
Three stages will play the very best of reggae, dub, dancehall and roots whilst in the courtyard you’ll find food vendors. Headlining the Austin Grant main stage will be Bitty McLean, Eek-a-Mouse, Dawn Penn, Kofi and Errol Dunkley.

Great British Food Festival
15-16 August / Wentworth Woodhouse
This year, the Great British Food Festival has created the perfect recipe for a fun, foodie day out with a line-up of national producers, stunning street food, live chef demos, live music, and so much more. 
New for 2026, the Great British Food Festival will also be hosting a series of bookable workshops from a Sip & Paint to Kid’s Cooking Masterclasses for your budding chefs.
Adult tickets from £15, child tickets from £7 and family tickets from £42.

Seven Hills Beer Festival
28-30 August / Sheffield Tigers RUFC, Hathersage Road, Dore
7 Hills Beer Festival is hosted by Sheffield Tigers RUFC and helps to raise money for the community club. Try 30 cask ales from the best local and regional craft brewers and enjoy some great food whilst watching a weekend of pre-season rugby.

Graves Park Food & Drink Festival 2026
29-31 August / Graves Park
Take a walk through the lush green fields of Graves Park and enjoy the many aromas tempting you into tastes from around the world or lounge on a colourful striped deck chair in the sun, sipping a cold beer, a glass of champagne or a cocktail. There will be live chef demos, artisan markets, live music and children’s entertainment.

Sheffield Fayre
31 August / Norfolk Heritage Park
This free event is in its 23rd year and promises a fantastic day out for the whole family. You’ll find a community marquee, National Fairground Archive Exhibition, National Emergency Services Museum Vintage Village, birds of prey displays, board games corner, family fun fair and bungee trampolines, kids craft activities and food, trade and exhibitor stands. 

Float Along Festival
26 September / Various venues
Float Along transforms the city centre into a vibrant hub for post-punk, psychedelic rock, and indie talent. This year’s event features White Lies, Sprints, Warmduscher, Opus Kink, Man/Woman/Chainsaw and more. 

Beyond showcasing emerging and established talent, Float Along champions Sheffield’s grassroots venues, providing vital support to the local music scene.

Jarred Up Festival
26 September / Sidney & Matilda
The Rivelin Works venue will be curating their own day festival – early bird tickets are on sale now.

No Bounds 2026
9-11 October / Various venues, Sheffield and Rotherham
Taking place across ten independent venues and exhibition spaces, No Bounds is a fes-tival exploring the intersections of music, art, technology and place through perfor-mances, exhibitions, discussions and community-led projects. The 2026 festival marks a deliberate return to the grassroots spirit that first shaped No Bounds. Alongside a pro-gramme of live music, exhibitions, talks and club events, the festival will launch a new symposium and discourse programme designed to help audiences, artists and local communities shape the future of the festival as it approaches its tenth birthday in 2027.

Off The Shelf Festival of Words
9-25 October / Various venues
Delivered by the University of Sheffield Off the Shelf Festival of Words is one of the most vibrant literary festivals in the UK, bringing the best in local, national and international literary talent to Sheffield.

Steel City Beer & Cider Festival
21-24 October / Kelham Island Museum
This hugely popular festival returns to familiar territory with a huge range of cask ales and keykeg craft beers, artisan cider and perry, street food vendors, traditional pub games and live entertainment. CAMRA members can enter for free whilst tickets for non-members start from £5. You will also need to purchase a festival glass for £3, which can be returned for a refund.

Novacaine Festival
28 November / Corporation
Novacaine Festival exists to champion the next generation of rock, metal, emo and alter-native artists and will this year feature As Everything Unfolds, Tropicgold, The City Is Ours and Foxhaunt. Tickets start from £27.75
