Electronic music pioneer Chicane is heading to Sheffield on 7 November for a special daytime event at Electric Studios, as the city’s newest music venue continues to build momentum following a successful first few months.

Rather than a traditional late night club show, Chicane’s Sheffield appearance will take place as a day party, offering fans the chance to experience the soundtrack of Ibiza’s golden era in a format that has become increasingly popular across the UK. With music running through the afternoon and into the evening, the event promises all the atmosphere of a classic dance event without the small hours finish.

For more than two decades, Chicane has been synonymous with Ibiza sunsets, Balearic sounds and melodic electronic music. Widely regarded as one of the defining artists of the trance era, his breakthrough track Offshore helped shape a generation of dance music, while Saltwater became a global anthem that remains a fixture on dancefloors around the world.

Worldwide success followed with Don’t Give Up, his chart-topping collaboration with Bryan Adams from the album Behind the Sun. The single reached number one in the UK and helped cement Chicane’s place as one of the most successful electronic artists of his generation.

Alongside his work as an artist, Chicane has collaborated with and produced music for an extraordinary range of performers including Cher, Sir Tom Jones, William Orbit and Natasha Bedingfield, while also composing music for film and television.

The Sheffield event will offer fans a rare opportunity to experience an extended Chicane performance in an intimate setting, bringing together classic tracks, deep cuts and the Balearic sound that has defined his career.
