Leopold Square is excited to announce the return of its ever-popular Summer of Live Music sessions. Throughout May, visitors can enjoy free live music every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, as well as special Bank Holiday performances.

Firmly established as a fixture in the Yorkshire live music calendar, Leopold Square’s summer sessions offer a mix of jazz, blues, swing, soul and rock’n’roll.

With a backdrop of restaurants and bars – including Bamboo Door, Cubana, Kuckoo, Leopold Hotel, Pho, Wagamama and Zizzi – the Square becomes a lively open-air venue that celebrates the best of local and national talent.

A spokesperson from Leopold Square commented: “We’re delighted to welcome the return of the Summer of Live Music sessions to Leopold Square. The programme has grown into a much-loved part of Sheffield’s cultural calendar, bringing together fantastic performers, a great atmosphere and audiences from across the region year after year.”

The 2026 sessions started with a Bank Holiday launch weekend featuring Rogue, performing a varied repertoire of hits from the ages.

Following weekends in May will showcase artists including Katie Bosworth, Bex Pizzata, The Power Trio, Niamh Kavanagh & the High Fives, and many more.

The full line-up for May can be found on the Leopold Square website.

All performances take place between 2-4.30pm, unless otherwise stated on Leopold Square’s website, with Salsa in the Square running from 6pm.
