With the May Bank Holiday weekend fast approaching, marking the start of summer planning for many, the city centre venue is gearing up for another fantastic season of eight open-air gigs in the heart of Leeds.

Set against the striking backdrop of Leeds Civic Hall, the Summer Series features a mix of emerging artists and globally renowned acts, once again establishing Millennium Square as a key summer destination for live music.

The festival kicks off on Friday 26 June with Club Classical Ibiza, where dance music classics meet live orchestral performance, curated by Utah Saints and performed with the Orchestra of Opera North and special guests. This is followed by a second night with the Orchestra on Saturday 27 June with 80s Classical, featuring iconic hits from the decade performed by Bananarama, Nik Kershaw, Johnny Hates Jazz and Nick Heyward, bringing a night of nostalgia to Millennium Square.

Across the following weeks, the Square will welcome a line-up of acclaimed artists and bands to Leeds city centre as part of the ‘Sounds Of The City’ concert series, including Dylan Gossett, Alabama Shakes, Tom Odell, Wet Leg, The Human League and The Cribs, all performing alongside special guests.

Spanning genres from indie, alternative, rock, country and pop to orchestral and dance performances, the series offers something for a wide range of music fans.

A range of street food catering concessions, together with a fully licensed bar, will be available within the specially created outdoor arena. The venue is fully accessible and includes a raised viewing platform, accessible toilet facilities and Mobile Changing Places. Full accessibility information and companion ticket details are available via the venue website or Leeds Ticket Hub.

Tickets for all events, along with full line‑up details, are available to purchase here, by phone on 0113 376 0318 (Mon–Sat, 10am–4pm), or in person at the Carriageworks Theatre (open two hours before any performances at the Carriageworks Theatre).
