Doncaster’s award-winning The Glass Strawberry has a cult following.

The Glass Strawberry is the brainchild of owner Beverley Georgiou who has run restaurants on the same site in Printing Office Street, Doncaster since 1982.

Upon its opening six years ago, The Glass Strawberry was labelled ‘Doncaster’s best-kept secret’, an oasis of calm and elegance in the city centre. Many pointed out that it resembled eateries in London and other major cities.

Along with her daughter, Antonia, Beverley has pushed the concept of the Glass Strawberry even further and it is no longer just Doncaster’s best-kept secret but rather a destination for people from all across the country and even welcoming visitors from Europe.

This funky little café/brunch bar is situated on Printing Office Street in the city centre. It is easily accessible by car, train or bus and is surrounded by abundant areas to park.

The restaurant’s ambience contributes to its charm, providing a festive and cosy setting, that travellers report enhances their dining experience.

The menu is extensive, starting the day with a breakfast and brunch menu with items such as ‘perfectly poached’ eggs Royal/Benedict, porridge with fresh fruit and chia seeds, or a classic full English breakfast from £12.

Breakfast is served until 12pm daily and until 1pm on Sundays however, the brunch menu continues throughout the day so if you want to experience avocado toast with an array of delicious toppings, shakshuka or American pancakes throughout the day, it’s all there for you!
