Josh Warrington will step back into the ring on April 19, fighting on the undercard of Dalton Smith’s European title defence at the Canon Medical Arena in Sheffield. The former two-time World Featherweight Champion is set to face an unnamed opponent as he looks to get back to winning ways.

Warrington’s career has seen incredible highs, including an IBF world title win over Lee Selby in 2018 and victories against Carl Frampton and Kiko Martinez. Those wins cemented his place as one of Britain’s best featherweights, with his relentless style and passionate fanbase making him a major draw in the sport.

However, the last few years have been anything but smooth for the Leeds Warrior. A shocking defeat to Mauricio Lara in 2021 halted his momentum, and although their rematch was ruled a no-contest due to a clash of heads, the damage had been done.
