The Glee Club, the UK’s leading operator of comedy venues, is toasting its first year in Leeds with a spectacular birthday celebration featuring internationally renowned comedians, a brand-new menu, and a packed programme of live entertainment.

Since opening its doors in March 2025, The Glee has firmly established itself as the city’s premier destination for a night out of non-stop laughter. The venue has welcomed huge crowds every weekend, cementing its reputation as a must-visit night out in Yorkshire.

The birthday fun kicks off in style on 23 March and to mark the milestone, the venue is pulling out all the stops with an exciting week-long line-up. 

Guests include the much loved comedian and TV presenter, Joe Lycett; German-American comedian, Mario Adrion; acclaimed stand-up Russell Kane; rising star and award-winning comedian, Michael Odewale; Birmingham’s funniest export, Lindsey Santoro; TV favourite Matt Richardson; plus London’s number one original and longest running comedy clash show, World Comedy Clash; dazzling drag shows and much more still to be announced.

Alongside the stellar line-up, the venue is also launching a brand-new food and drink menu, adding even more to the Glee experience. Guests can enjoy a revamped selection of bar classics, cocktail pitchers, beer buckets and a carefully curated wine list.

“The birthday celebrations are just the beginning; we have a phenomenal line-up ahead and a brand-new menu to match. We are so proud of what we’ve built in Leeds, and we can’t wait to raise a glass, and a giggle, to many more years of laughter in Leeds.”

The Glee Club is renowned across the UK for delivering quality live comedy alongside live music, cabaret and special events. Some of the biggest names in entertainment have graced its stages, including Peter Kay, Michael McIntyre, Jo Brand, Lee Evans, Sarah Millican and Jack Whitehall.

The Leeds venue hosts a regular Friday and Saturday night comedy show, alongside headline acts, live bands and special events throughout the week.
